The project site is located in one of the main squares of Karaj. The main access of highway around the square motivated us to use of this specific opportunity as much as possible and design a mixed-use commercial program, so we set out to create an architectural solution that would resolve one of the most urban planning problems and create a qualified public space with leisure and cultural approach.

The main access of highway around the square motivated us to use of this specific opportunity as much as possible and design a mixed-use commercial program, so we set out to create an architectural solution that would resolve one of the most urban planning problems and create a qualified public space with leisure and cultural approach.
We proposed a spacious urban plaza for people getting away from annoying noise of traffic, while reaching the nice view of old trees. It is used as a multi-level complex's roof upper than street level and finally cultural centers, cinema, theater, cafeteria, restaurant and galleries are located next to it. The lower levels of plaza are planned to use as a shopping center and upper levels as an office space, so we would allow users to make better use of public space if they wanted.
